Digital Editor - Lovin Cairo

This role seeks an editor to run a new social website based in Cairo (Giza).

There is no better time to tell the story of Cairo’s story as a bustling metroroplis going through change. We are looking for a natural storyteller with editorial experience and an entrepreneurial mindset. Â

Lovin Cairo is more than a website. It is a social community that captures the zeitgeist of Cairo and the perpetual state of ebb and flow that Cairo life provides for it’s residents and visitors.Â

It will explore the multicultural melting pot through the prism of eating, living and socializing in Cairo. You will be leading a small team of vibrant young people in an entrepreneurial environment with autonomy to tell the story of what makes the city and it’s people tick.Â

Responsibilities

• Editorial planning for all the content on the site
• Leading a team of sub-editor, freelance writers, business development, social media and eventsÂ

Requirements

• Journalism background, strong editorial judgement and natural storyteller
• About fours years experience as a digital editor
• Track record of driving audience development through social networks
• Interest in food and past experience is a benefit
• Self starter, motivated and ambitious.
