Job Overview
The Digital Merchandising Assistant supports the execution of online merchandising activities to ensure products are accurately displayed, easy to find, and aligned with commercial priorities. Working closely with the Digital Merchandising Manager, the role contributes to product launches, site merchandising, reporting, and performance monitoring to help drive sales, conversion, and overall website performance. The role requires strong attention to detail, a data-driven approach, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless online customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure product information on the site is accurate, complete and reflected in the relevant locations on-site.
- Support the end-to-end product launch process.
- Assist in maintaining product categorisation, filters, and internal search to ensure products are easy for customers to find.
- Support product placement across categories, landing pages, and curated edits to enhance the online shopping experience.
- Review the site daily to ensure product assortments, campaigns, and promotions are displayed accurately.
- Monitor key site metrics such as conversion, add-to-cart rate, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the team with weekly merchandising performance reports and insights.
- Assist in identifying products or categories that require improved visibility based on stock levels and performance.
- Track inventory levels for products featured in campaigns or editorial content to ensure availability.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses to support Digital Merchandising Managers.
- Assist with competitor benchmarking and basic trend analysis to support merchandising decisions.
- Build effective working relationships across teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandising activities.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to team projects to support overall digital merchandising objectives.
