Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and growth of retail and initiatives within the organization, this role involves managing site selection, market analysis, brand development, and executing growth strategies across multiple locations. This position requires a dynamic leader with a solid background in development and project management, as well as strong analytical and technical skills. Additional expertise in areas such as architecture or planning is considered a valuable asset for understanding the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the role.

Job-Specific Accountabilities:

Strategic Planning and Market Analysis

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for Retail and F&B growth aligned with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategies for market entry, business growth, and long-term brand positioning.

Project Development

  • Lead the development of new Retail and F&B concepts, from ideation to execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

Real Estate and Site Selection

  • Oversee the selection and negotiation of new retail and F&B locations.
  • Work with master planning and development partners to secure prime locations and optimize retail footprint.
  • Coordinate with planners, architects, designers, and local authorities to ensure the design and layout meet operational requirements and brand standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for development initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all development projects comply with local regulation and safety standards.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for retail and F&B projects, ensuring financial targets are met.

Operational Support

  • Provide ongoing support to operational teams to ensure new locations meet operational standards and deliver customer experience excellence.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Administration Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Master's degree in Real Estate Development (MRED), Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is desirable.

Years of Experience:

  • 14+ years of relevant experience in real estate development, particularly in the asset classes ARDARA is developing, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in a development company.
  • Demonstrable and successful projects development in, Mixed-Use, commercial, retail, F&B, entertainment/destination creation etc.
