About Wynn Al Marjan Island
On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theater, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Director - Gaming Special Events to join the resort's Gaming Special Events team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the annual gaming marketing and events strategy to drive visitation, loyalty, and incremental gaming revenue.
- Lead the planning and execution of player development initiatives, major tournaments, themed events, and VIP experiences.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define market segmentation, event ROI targets, and promotional calendars.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to position the gaming as a premier entertainment destination.
Event & Promotion Management
- Oversee the design, budgeting, and delivery of all gaming events and player promotions.
- Direct the Gaming Event Specialists team to ensure seamless event logistics, guest service, and brand consistency.
- Approve event concepts, guest lists, and prize structures in line with internal policies and responsible gambling standards.
- Coordinate with F&B, Hotel, Security, and Finance departments to ensure flawless event execution.
- Evaluate post-event performance and produce ROI reports for senior management.
VIP & Marketing Operations
- Work closely with Gaming Hosts and VIP Services to design marketing programs targeting key markets (Domestic, International, Premium Mass, and High Net Worth).
- Ensure effective player segmentation and CRM data utilization to personalize offers and measure campaign results.
- Lead marketing partnerships, sponsorships, and cross-promotions to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Oversee Telemarketing campaigns, ensuring outbound efforts align with player development goals and data privacy laws.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure all marketing and event activities comply with gaming regulations, AML/CTF, data protection, and responsible gaming policies.
- Work in partnership with Compliance, Finance, and Legal departments to vet promotions and vendor contracts.
- Maintain transparent reporting and audit documentation for regulatory reviews.
Financial & Budget Management
- Develop and manage annual department budgets, ensuring fiscal control and maximum ROI.
- Monitor spend across marketing, events, and promotional incentives, with accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Negotiate vendor and partner contracts to optimize cost and quality.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Gaming Event Specialists, Marketing Executives, and Coordinators.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Establish performance KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and provide coaching for professional development.
- Encourage innovation and cross-functional teamwork across departments.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 810 years experience in gaming marketing, events, or luxury hospitality, including 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven record of delivering high-impact gaming events and marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of gaming operations, player segmentation, and VIP marketing principles.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and ROI analysis.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Hospitality Management.
- Experience in regulated gaming jurisdictions (e.g. UK Gambling Commission, UAE Gaming Regulatory Authority, or Macau DICJ).
- Multilingual skills (Arabic, Mandarin, or Russian advantageous).
- Experience with CRM and analytics systems (Salesforce, IGT Advantage, Power BI).
