Job Purpose:
To lead innovation, research, and excellence across RTA by driving strategic initiatives, managing partnerships and research centers, and ensuring alignment with future directions, global best practices, and quality standards to strengthen organizational performance and leadership.
Key results accountabilities:
- Lead and supervise innovation, research, development, and knowledge initiatives across RTA, ensuring alignment with future directions, global best practices, and quality standards.
- Oversee the management of the RTA Center for Innovation, Research and Development and associated laboratories, ensuring integration, performance effectiveness, and future readiness.
- Manage relationships and strategic partnerships with research centers, universities, start-ups, and external entities to conduct scientific studies and specialized research supporting RTA's objectives.
- Supervise the development and implementation of systems related to leadership, competitiveness, innovation, research and development, knowledge management, ideas management, partnerships, and benchmarking.
- Lead excellence initiatives and programs across all RTA sectors to achieve authority-wide excellence standards and enhance RTA's leadership position.
- Supervise the preparation and management of internal and external awards, including participation in local, regional, and global excellence programs.
- Oversee preparation of RTA submissions for Innovation Management and Partner Management Standards under the Dubai Government Excellence Program, and ensure coordination with the Executive Council of Dubai.
- Manage and monitor the effectiveness of partnerships, identify gaps, adopt improvement frameworks, and ensure strategic opportunities are realized from partnership agreements.
- Develop and oversee strategic and operational plans aligned with RTA's strategic goals, objectives, and future directions, including defining KPIs and monitoring performance outcomes.
- Ensure achievement of quality objectives and targeted results across all key performance areas, taking corrective actions when required.
- Lead the development, review, and improvement of policies, procedures, manuals, and performance indicators to enhance process quality and operational efficiency.
- Supervise evaluation of RTA departments performance according to global excellence and leadership standards and ensure implementation of improvement plans based on evaluation outcomes.
- Lead human capital capability building in excellence, leadership, and competitiveness by identifying training needs, designing development programs, and promoting continuous learning and team building culture.
- Provide administrative, technical, and strategic guidance to department managers and employees to strengthen organizational performance and leadership.
- Ensure efficient and timely response to employees requests, stakeholder inquiries, and major shareholders suggestions and complaints through official communication channels.
- Ensure full compliance with RTA policies, Code of Conduct, HSE rules, quality standards, and prompt reporting of accidents and potential hazards.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in public administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution.
