Job Purpose:
- Lead the strategic planning, governance, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) in Dubai to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility.
- Drive innovation through Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), advanced analytics, and smart infrastructure to optimize traffic, enhance safety, and reduce congestion.
- Align all efforts with RTA's digital strategy, Dubai's digital transformation, and government directives on AI, data-driven decisions, and smart city integration, ensuring global best practices, strong cybersecurity, and system interoperability to position Dubai as a leader in intelligent mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Define and lead the ITS strategic roadmap in alignment with RTA's transport and smart mobility objectives.
- Drive ITS initiatives using AI, predictive analytics, IoT, and advanced traffic technologies.
- Develop and enhance ITS policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Monitor KPIs and support data-driven decision-making.
- Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and relevant entities.
Operations
- Oversee the implementation, operation, and enhancement of ITS function including Urban Traffic Control.
- Lead ITS projects and ensure delivery within budget, timeline, and required standards.
- Supervise contracts, compliance, and service performance.
- Promote technology-enabled solutions to optimize traffic and improve road safety.
- Ensure cybersecurity, interoperability, and operational reliability across ITS systems.
Product / Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across ITS operations.
- Apply AI/ML, analytics, IoT, and automation to enhance performance and safety.
- Ensure business continuity and system resilience.
- Oversee quality, safety, and compliance across ITS projects.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams to support operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology or Master's degree in Intelligent Transport Systems, Transportation Planning, or Strategic Management.
- Minimum 18 years of experience with bachelors or 16 years with Masters

- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Intelligent Transportation Systems Professional (CITSP)
