Job Description

On behalf of a highly complex, multi-entity organization, we are seeking a Director Organizational Design & Workforce Planning to lead enterprise-wide structural transformation and capability planning initiatives.

This is a high-impact role partnering closely with executive leadership to design scalable operating models, enhance organizational effectiveness, and drive data-led workforce strategies across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise operating modelsaligned to business strategy and growth objectives
  • Drive organizational restructuring initiatives, including spans & layers, cost-of-structure, and efficiency optimization
  • Own strategic workforce planning, including headcount modeling, demand-supply forecasting, and capability mapping
  • Develop and implement job architecture frameworks (job families, grading, job evaluation, career pathways)
  • Establish and govern organizational design principles, policies, and approval frameworks
  • Conduct organizational diagnostics (org health, performance, structural effectiveness) and translate insights into action
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to embed data-driven decision making across organization design and workforce planning
  • Lead change and transformation initiatives to ensure adoption of new structures and ways of working

Key Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Organizational Design, Workforce Planning, or HR Transformation within large, complex organizations
  • Proven track record in operating model design and large-scale restructuring programs with measurable business impact
  • Strong expertise in job architecture and job evaluation frameworks (e.g., Mercer, Korn Ferry Hay, Willis Towers Watson)
  • Deep experience in workforce analytics, headcount modeling, and organizational efficiency metrics
  • Background in consulting or enterprise transformation roles is highly preferred
  • Ability to operate at C-suite level, influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic decisions
  • Experience across multi-business or matrix environments is essential
