Director of Hospitality

Role Description The Director of Hospitality is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the hospitality experience for society events and initiatives. This position coordinates virtual and in-person event logistics in collaboration with other directors, ensuring guests and members feel welcomed and supported. Day-to-day tasks include planning hospitality services, managing vendor relationships, overseeing food and beverage arrangements when applicable, and maintaining hospitality budgets. The Director of Hospitality also works closely with event and membership teams to improve attendee experience, gather feedback, and ensure consistent, professional standards of service across all society activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Food Service and Customer Service to ensure a high-quality hospitality experience.
• Experience with Budgeting to plan and manage hospitality-related expenses effectively.
• Proficiency in Event Management to coordinate logistics and support smooth execution of society events.
• Basic Sales skills to support sponsorships, partnerships, or event-related promotions.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Comfort working in a student-focused environment and partnering with diverse stakeholders.
• Previous experience in hospitality, events, or student organizations is an asset.
