Director of Innovation

Job Purpose:

Seeks to provide innovative solutions that help improve operations and increase efficiency within the organization. Works to develop strategies and new ideas that contribute to improving products and services, and foster a culture of innovation within the organization, in support of achieving commercial objectives and sustainable growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing Innovation Trends, Opportunities & Designing Strategies: Analyzes market and industry innovation trends while monitoring global technological developments to identify new opportunities. Designs innovative solutions addressing customer needs and develops comprehensive strategies that enhance satisfaction, improve efficiency, and open new markets.

2. Innovation Project Management: Leads and executes innovation projects by forming and managing cross-functional teams within defined timelines and budgets. Applies advanced techniques such as Design Thinking and data analysis tools to identify trends and drive innovative decision-making aligned with company goals.

3. Analyzing Innovation Results & Performance Evaluation: Measures the impact of innovation initiatives on business and organizational performance. Conducts periodic evaluations of innovation projects, submits reports to senior management, and provides continuous improvement recommendations.

4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborates with marketing, engineering, and IT teams to understand business challenges and deliver tailored innovative solutions. Coordinates with external partners and research institutions to identify appropriate solutions.

5. Developing Innovative Solutions for Clients: Develops customized solutions — digital, product, or service-based — to meet evolving client needs. Partners with sales and marketing teams to convert customer insights into actionable ideas, while periodically reviewing innovation impact on customer experience.

6. Studying Emerging Technologies & Analyzing Their Applications: Monitors developments in AI, Blockchain, IoT, Machine Learning, AR/VR, and 3D Printing. Analyzes their industry impact, provides strategic integration insights, and evaluates feasibility in terms of cost and potential effect on products and services.

Required Education & Specialization:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Design, Information Technology, or any related field.
• Preferably holding a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or in the field of Innovation and Technology.

Years of Experience:

• Practical experience of no less than 3–5 years in the field of innovation or management consulting.

Certifications:

• Certified Innovation Professional (CIP)
• Innovation and Development Certification
• Leadership in Innovation
