Role Overview

The Director of Marketing at the Free Zones Authority of Ajman is responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy, driving business growth, strengthening brand positioning, and ensuring the effective execution of all marketing initiatives across the Authority.

The role plays a critical part in attracting investors, supporting economic growth, and positioning Ajman Free Zones as a leading destination for businesses at both local and international levels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead the organization's marketing vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap aligned with corporate objectives
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable marketing plans, initiatives, and performance targets
  • Ensure alignment between Marketing, Sales, and Operations to drive business outcomes
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on market trends, risks, and growth opportunities

2. Demand Generation & Revenue Growth

  • Build and scale a sustainable demand generation engine across digital and offline channels
  • Drive customer acquisition, lead generation, and revenue contribution through targeted campaigns
  • Optimize the full marketing funnel (Awareness → Conversion → Retention)
  • Continuously improve lead quality, conversion rates, and cost efficiency (CPA & CAC)

3. Brand Strategy & Market Positioning

  • Develop and manage a strong, differentiated brand positioning in the UAE market
  • Define brand messaging, tone of voice, and communication frameworks
  • Ensure consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints
  • Monitor and enhance brand awareness, reputation, and market perception

4. Digital Marketing & Performance Optimization

  • Oversee all digital channels including SEO, SEM, paid media, social media, and email marketing
  • Optimize website performance, user experience, and conversion rate (CRO)
  • Implement data tracking systems and analytics tools to measure performance
  • Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing and performance optimization

5. Market Research & Strategic Insights

  • Lead market research initiatives to understand customer behavior, needs, and segmentation
  • Analyze competitor strategies, pricing models, and service offerings
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for service development and positioning
  • Identify new market opportunities and growth segments

6. Content Strategy & Communications

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the customer journey
  • Oversee production of high-quality content across all platforms
  • Ensure all messaging reflects the company's value proposition and competitive advantage
  • Manage content distribution to maximize reach and engagement

7. Public Relations & Strategic Partnerships

  • Lead PR strategy including media relations, press releases, and reputation management
  • Build and maintain partnerships with business councils, chambers, and industry stakeholders
  • Drive initiatives that enhance brand credibility and visibility
  • Represent the organization in key external engagements when required

8. Events & Activation Marketing

  • Plan and execute events, exhibitions, webinars, and roadshows
  • Use events as a key channel for lead generation and brand awareness
  • Measure event performance based on leads, engagement, and ROI
  • Ensure effective coordination with Sales for lead conversion

9. Marketing Operations & Technology

  • Implement and manage CRM systems and marketing automation platforms
  • Ensure accurate lead tracking, reporting, and attribution
  • Develop dashboards to monitor marketing performance across channels
  • Optimize internal processes for efficiency and scalability

10. Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across all functions
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching and structured development plans
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration

11. Budget Management & Financial Performance

  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget
  • Allocate resources based on performance and strategic priorities
  • Monitor marketing spend and ensure cost efficiency and ROI optimization
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership

12. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Establish clear KPIs and performance measurement frameworks
  • Track performance across all campaigns and channels
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for executive leadership
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement

13. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on latest marketing trends, tools, and technologies
  • Test and implement new growth strategies and channels
  • Introduce global best practices into marketing processes
  • Drive a data-driven and experimentation-focused culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10–15+ years of experience in marketing, including senior leadership roles
  • Proven success in B2B / services / Free Zone / government environments
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, brand strategy, and growth
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
