Job Description

The Director of Operations will work directly with the management of the firm to ensure smooth execution of strategic priorities, operational efficiency, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have in-depth familiarity with both systematic and discretionary trading, as well as some managerial experience – in the best case gathered by spending time in both a startup as well as a larger corporate environment.

The main constituents of the book of work are as follows:

  • Partner with management to run the business day-to-day and drive long-term strategy
  • Pivot seamlessly between tactical execution and strategic planning
  • Coordinate and drive execution of cross-departmental projects, identify dependencies and manage timelines to keep initiatives on track
  • Provide clear and concise updates to the management on progress across multiple projects or workstreams
  • Support business development and decision-making with data analysis, research, and well-structured recommendations

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience in trading, financial services, management consulting, or similarly demanding environment
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, often under tight deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have: Experience in physical commodities is a plus
