We are seeking a Director of Operations to join a 200-bed multispecialty hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Below are the responsibilities for this role:
Operational Leadership & Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure seamless, efficient, and highquality service delivery.
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to enhance patient flow, resource utilization, and departmental performance.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead operational planning initiatives supporting organizational growth, quality improvement, and service line expansion.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive operational strategies that enhance patient experience, safety, and clinical outcomes.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to DOH regulations, accreditation standards, and internal quality frameworks.
- Oversee infection control, safety protocols, and riskmanagement initiatives.
- Support quality assurance programs and continuous improvement activities.
People & Resource Management
- Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Clinical leadership to optimize staffing, training, and resource allocation.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a key liaison between clinical teams, support services, and executive management.
- Strengthen communication channels to ensure alignment and operational synergy across all departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 710 years of progressive hospital operations leadership experience in a medium to large healthcare facility.
- Strong understanding of hospital workflows, regulatory requirements, accreditation processes, and patient safety standards.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience within UAE healthcare systems (DOH/HAAD) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage complex operations and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
