About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to lead and optimize our client's end-to-end supply chain and operational functions across the region. Based in Dubai, this leadership role will oversee supply planning, demand planning, warehousing, and logistics operations to ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and scalability in a fast-growing luxury beauty and cosmetics environment.
The Director of Operations will play a key role in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining the high service standards expected within the luxury beauty sector. This role will partner closely with commercial, retail, finance, and brand teams to align operational capabilities with business growth and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end operations, including supply planning, demand planning, warehousing, and logistics across the region.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth, product launches, and market expansion.
- Oversee demand forecasting and supply planning processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight partners, and distribution centers.
- Optimize warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive improvements in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes and cross-functional collaboration with commercial and marketing teams.
- Ensure seamless execution of new product launches and seasonal campaigns, critical in the beauty and cosmetics industry.
- Monitor operational KPIs including service levels, fulfillment rates, logistics costs, and inventory turnover.
- Implement best practices in supply chain planning, automation, and operational technology where relevant.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations, import/export requirements, and quality standards.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the operations team while building scalable processes for regional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 1015+ years of experience in operations or supply chain leadership, ideally within luxury beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, or premium retail.
- Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, logistics, and warehouse management.
- Proven experience managing regional distribution networks and 3PL partnerships.
- Deep understanding of inventory optimization, forecasting, and operational planning processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, brand-driven environment with frequent product launches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
