We are seeking a visionary and goal-oriented Director of Private Banking - NRI to join our prestigious financial institution in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will work in our Non-Resident Indian (NRI) private banking division, developing and maintaining relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals while driving business growth and ensuring exceptional client service.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the NRI private banking client base in the UAE and globally
  • Manage and nurture relationships with HNWIs and UHNWIs, providing tailored financial solutions and exceptional service
  • Lead a team of relationship managers, ensuring they meet business targets and maintain high standards of client satisfaction
  • Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities within the group, promoting collaboration across different departments and global offices
  • Analyze market trends and client needs to develop innovative financial products and services for the NRI segment
  • Ensure compliance with local and international banking regulations, particularly those pertaining to NRI banking
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and risk assessments for clients, recommending appropriate investment strategies
  • Organize and participate in high-level client meetings, events, and networking opportunities to foster business growth
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance the overall client experience
  • Stay informed about geopolitical and economic developments affecting the NRI segment and adjust strategies accordingly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Finance from a reputable university MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in private banking, with at least 5 years specifically in NRI banking
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of HNWI and UHNWI clients
  • In-depth knowledge of NRI banking regulations, financial products, and wealth management strategies
  • Strong understanding of the UAE financial market and international banking laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive and sound financial decisions
  • Outstanding relationship management and business development abilities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of banking professionals
  • Proficiency in using financial modeling tools and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for client meetings and business development
