About the Job

You will be the hands-on commercial leader responsible for driving all leisure and membership sales activity across a multi-asset portfolio of hotels and beach venues. Working closely with and supporting the Area Director of Sales, you will develop efficient sales and business development plans, ensure the team converts pipeline into definite business, manage key leisure accounts and partnerships effectively, and coach a delivery-focused team that builds strong travel trade, and membership relationships to consistently hit targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial Delivery & Account Management

  • Deliver sales targets for leisure, wholesale, and membership segments
  • Develop and execute sales plans that grow market penetration, B2B partnerships, and membership sales across the portfolio
  • Actively manage and convert high-value leisure accounts, contracts, and seasonal campaigns personally supporting and handling complex negotiations where required
  • Ensure strong pipeline management through timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and CRM discipline
  • Support the Area Director of Sales in identifying business development opportunities, market shifts, and competitor activity; recommend tactical and strategic responses.

Sales Operations & Execution

  • Drive efficiency by ensuring adherence to SOPs for contracting, allotment management, rate loading, commissions, and membership policies
  • Lead and coordinate sales blitzes, roadshows, familiarisation trips, trade visits, and member engagement events to convert opportunities
  • Monitor team activity levels and ensure a healthy balance of prospecting, account management, and new business development.
  • Ensure the team has a customer-first mindset and delivers against NPS, sales excellence, and membership experience goals

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent for the leisure and membership segments
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching to improve sales productivity and client relationship management
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that recognises success and builds accountability

Market Development & Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key leisure partners: tour operators, wholesalers, travel agencies, membership clients, and luxury consortia
  • Represent the portfolio at leisure trade shows, consortia events, roadshows, and member networking functions to raise brand visibility and secure business
  • Partner with tourism boards, community groups, and travel associations to expand the client base and capture new demand streams
  • Ensure the team maintains strong networks across leisure and membership accounts, building relationships at decision-maker and contracting levels
  • Ensure collaboration with brand offices, tourism boards, and distribution partners to maximise exposure and revenue opportunities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with revenue management, marketing, distribution, operations, and finance to ensure aligned pricing strategies and campaigns that optimise conversion and profitability
  • Support sustainable and green initiatives, packaging them as differentiators to win business from leisure and membership partners

Reporting & Planning

  • Seek opportunities to use CRM and AI tools to enhance the efficiency of the leisure and membership sales team
  • Produce reports for the Area Director of Sales and stakeholders, highlighting performance against leisure and membership targets
  • Ensure up-to-date and compelling leisure sales materials, trade kits, and membership packages are available for the team
  • Ensure the sales team leverages the storytelling playbook for assets, tailoring narratives for travel trade, leisure partners, and membership communities
  • Ensure the sales team uses efficient negotiation techniques for seasonal contracts, consortia agreements, and membership offerings
  • Contribute to budget planning, segment forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Provide input on long-term strategy development while focusing on tactical execution

About You

  • Hotel Management graduate specialized in sales
  • 8 years of experience in hospitality or hotel sales
  • Experience with Corporate, Government, and MICE Sales
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends
  • Computer literate with effective and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Local/additional international language is an added advantage
