Job Description

Minimum Qualification - Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or equivalent discipline

Minimum Experience - 10+ years Transaction Banking experience. Candidate should have an experience / knowledge of trade products, developing Client Relationship and executing deals.

Specific Accountability

  • Develop and articulate the overall Trade Risk Distribution syndication strategy across Corporate risks and contribute to the effective implementation of the approved agency strategy along with the relevant business plans
  • Develop a robust network across Financial Institutions and Corporate teams, and utilize the network for developing business opportunities and the execution of agency functions under syndicated arrangements.
  • Arrange for bespoke syndication arrangements for Trade Finance, including multiple product and multiple jurisdictional arrangements, in line with client needs and risk approvals.
  • Assume complete ownership of the Agency functions for Trade Risk Distribution syndication arrangements in terms of assets, products, systems functionality, regulatory regimes and network creation etc.
  • Effectively manage the documentation and structuring across all syndications with agency roles generated through the desk, including adherence to the Bank's product policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the channels team to develop innovative and efficient solutions for managing agency capabilities under syndications handled by the desk.
  • Develop syndication agency strategy with the Trade Product Innovation team & RM's in creation of pipeline of Corporate syndications, creating necessary capabilities, and identifying appropriate structures and products, in line with the Bank's objectives and client needs.
  • Responsible for the pricing and P&L of syndications in collaboration with the Corporate transaction teams under syndications managed by the desk.
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet the sub-department requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices in agency roles, taking into consideration international leading practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Ability to lead teams and coach / train in agency roles under syndication activities
