Job Title :- Space, Range & Display Specialist/Lead

Job Description

In simple terms, this role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, visual merchandising, and data. The objective is to ensure the right products are in the right stores, in the right quantities, and presented in the right way to maximise sales and enhance customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Space Planning:
• Managing how physical space is used in-store by allocating shelf space, gondolas, walls, and tables based on sales density (sales per sqm), margin, and stock turn. Layouts are adjusted according to store size, location, and customer profile, in close collaboration with Store Planning, VM, and Operations.
• Example: allocating premium space near entrances for high-margin accessories, while repositioning or consolidating slower-moving categories.

Range & Assortment Planning:

• Deciding which SKUs are ranged per store (core vs. extended range), tailoring assortments by store cluster, and balancing depth versus breadth. This is done in close partnership with Buying, Merchandising, and Supply Chain.

Display & Visual Execution:

• Translating commercial plans into visual guidelines such as planograms and display principles. Ensuring displays support the customer journey, highlight hero products, and align with brand standards while driving conversion.
• Example: positioning new launches at eye level with storytelling zones, and add-on items near checkout.

Performance Analysis:

Analysing sell-through, stock cover, space productivity, and conversion. Identifying underperforming categories or SKUs, recommending changes, and conducting post-implementation reviews. Insights are shared back with Buying, Marketing, and VM.
