About The Role

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Delivery Project Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Act as a team advocate internally and externally, promoting collaboration and engagement.
  • Chair regular team meetings, one-to-ones, and team-building activities.
  • Ensure high team morale, skill balance, and recognition of achievements.

Performance & Delivery Excellence

  • Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds performance, revenue, utilization, and quality targets.
  • Review dashboards, forecasts, and KPIs proactively to drive performance.
  • Act as the first escalation point for project or delivery issues within the assigned scope.
  • Support DPMs directly on complex or critical projects when required.

Quality & Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure quality is embedded in all projects, with strong governance mechanisms in place.
  • Oversee Project Health Checks, Reviews, and Audits in line with company standards.
  • Ensure CSAT targets are achieved and drive corrective and preventive actions where needed.
  • Promote continuous improvement based on quality outcomes and lessons learned.

Methodology & Standards

  • Ensure consistent application of the Synergy Project Management Methodology across all projects.
  • Promote best practices, compliance, and delivery consistency.

People Development & Coaching

  • Set, monitor, and review individual objectives and performance goals.
  • Create and follow up on Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Provide continuous mentoring and coaching to support career growth and capability building.
  • Ensure regular skills and competency self-assessments and address gaps proactively.

Knowledge Management

  • Champion Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives and tools.
  • Ensure strong team adoption and contribution to KM platforms.
  • Maintain a database of previous projects, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Act as a catalyst to spread knowledge, especially for new or immature products.

Resourcing & Workforce Planning

  • Allocate appropriate resources to projects and forecast future resource needs.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities with the Function Head.
  • Work closely with Sales to provide delivery input for bids and pipeline planning.

Reporting & Administration

  • Provide accurate and timely management reports (revenue, utilization, forecasts, etc.).
  • Ensure proper administration of timesheets, leave, and other HR processes using company tools.
  • Approve timesheets, holidays, objectives, and project assignments within delegated authority.

Transversal & Strategic Role

  • Act as Transversal SME for the full DPM community.
  • Serve as focal point for large and high-revenue projects within Egypt OTB.
  • Drive revenue acceleration for delivery, focusing on big tickets and strategic accounts.
  • Facilitate Agile project implementation and promote Agile mindset adoption.
  • Act as a change agent supporting automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure documentation quality and data integrity across the team.
  • Act as crisis manager and support Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) when required.
  • Serve as the go-to senior expert within the team.
  • On-call and standby duties may be required.

About You

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement (customers, sales, delivery, management).
  • Solid understanding of telecom and IT delivery environments.
  • Strong project and portfolio management expertise.
  • Financial acumen with understanding of P&L and revenue tracking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and escalation management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric, strategic, and results-oriented mindset.

Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Business, Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience applying structured project management methodologies (e.g., Synergy).

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project delivery or project management roles.
  • 10+ years in an international telecoms/IT environment.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent in English (French or other languages are a plus).
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong change leadership, innovation mindset, and passion for continuous improvement.
