Overview
Responsible for managing the DRP planners serving all those markets. Also assumes 1st Point of escalation in Global Business Services for daily and/or weekly issues for all categories in the cluster.
This role is the main interface between the Global Business Services Planning Hub and the Market for Distribution Requirements Planning activities. Lead collaboration internally with Supply planning and externally with Customer support and RemainCo team to ensure market plans are adopted with service levels and working capital targets are met Also responsible for leading the coordination between different Supply Chain functions in Global Business Services at time of issues.
This role will be recruited within Global Business Services as of 2024 and as such there will be a level of initial ambiguity in activity as the processes are adopted across during transition. It is expected that the role will therefore require an initial flexibility of approach as processes are primarily fixed then shifted and improved over following strategy cycles.
Responsibilities
Scope
- Accountable for establishing the DRP planning organization in Global Business Services starting from Knowledge Capture till stabilization
- Accountable for product availability across all shipping DC across 2 – 3 business units
Distribution Requirements Planning:
- Accountable to generate replenishment plans on daily/weekly basis satisfying customers orders and maintaining right safety levels
- Accountable for Identifying market demand and distribution planning parameters
- Accountable for anticipating issues behind volatility/inefficiency in the supply chain and building stocks accordingly
- Accountable for dealing with product overselling and finding mitigation plans with Supply planners to support business
- Responsible for stock balancing across the different Distribution Centres to avoid avoiding stock outs & obsoletes
- Single point of contact for supply control meeting for w0 and w1, sharing issues, mitigation plans and responsible for tracking POOS and projected VF%
- Responsible for the VF% RCA and Truck utilization percentage
- Responsible for adopting the current systems and leads the Run to standard agenda and compliance targets for Distribution Requirement Planning area
Inventory control :
- Plan for specific inventory control parameters
- Determine allocation requirements and resource requirements
Distribution plan review & forecast :
- Evaluate results and make necessary adjustments
- Analyse Demand forecast changes and act immediately to satisfy demand and avoid stock outs
Integration with Market:
- Coordination with Demand Fullfilment leader and Response Coordinators in the cluster to manage exceptions
- Coordination with Remainco organization to allocate NPI quantities x distribution centre
- Coordination with primary & Secondary Logistics teams
Integration with CBS:
- Coordination with Supply planning to avail products with anticipated issues
- Coordination with customer support team in reaction to customers orders and maximize availability
- Coordination with transportation team to avail the trucks required for shuttling
- Coordination with the make and move team to manage any stock discrepancy
Line Management responsibility:
- Responsible for management and development of Distribution Requirements planners serving all countries in the cluster (9 - 10 planners)
Run to Standard
- Responsible for adopting the current systems and leads the Run to standard agenda and compliance targets for DRP area
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
- Proven People leader experience is a must
- Line Management experience of 4 – 5 years
- Experience in distribution planning or similar Supply Planning tasks
- Proficiency in product category planning
- Proficiency in Excel and experience in any ERP system
