Job Description
Plan and commission test rig installations, coordinating design teams, technologies, equipment, and processes to deliver robust testing solutions.
Produce detailed test hardware designs, including adaptor plates and complete test rig assemblies.
Develop and review risk assessments with project leads to ensure all test programs operate within safe and compliant limits.
Assemble test rigs, monitor operations through data acquisition systems, and carry out product inspections at defined test intervals.
Compile comprehensive final test reports outlining the test program, collected data, conclusions, and recommendations for future testing
Provide training, mentoring, and day-to-day support to colleagues, contributing to team capability growth.
Support the company's compliance with classification society standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Actively developing the test facility into a global centre of excellence.
Use testmonitoring tools such as N_Code and Vector/ETAS.
Instrumentation and datacapture equipment including thermocouples, wheelforce transducers, accelerometers, LVDTs, and load cells.
Analyse test data and produce clear posttest reports.
Liaise with cross functional teams resolve test issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Durability Test lab
Have a good understanding and experience on MTS test systems like 329 and MAST, MTS Flextest, MTS RPC Connect & Axle system durability tests
Interpret engineering drawings and create testhardware models using CAD.
