Role Purpose:
To ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of the dyehouse during assigned shifts by leading people, coordinating processes, and controlling resources to deliver production targets, quality standards, and customer commitments in line with Coats policies and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and sustain a high level of safety awareness and compliance among all Dyehouse staff by constantly monitoring compliance with Health and Safety SOPs and machinery operation SOPs, and taking steps to eliminate all risk factors and potential hazards.
- Responsible for all factory administration during the night shift since he is responsible for high management during night shifts.
- To support bulk production through the effective management and coordination of all preparation processes, machine operations and all supporting processes (pre-screening, thread preparation, dye & chemical preparation, machine operation such as dye and drying machinery).
- To ensure that all areas are working towards the company's efficiency targets and goals.
- To ensure that all personnel work within company procedures and policies.
- To take effective action where any relevant KPI's such as RFT, CQ, CPI, LpMpD and efficiency fall below target.
- Reporting and following up with all external support teams (SAP, CS Team, Sedo tree point) in case we have any problem with the system supporting the dyehouse workflow.
- To ensure that all utilities such as air, water, boiler and electricity are operating within normal conditions.
- Follow all directions of the Dye house Leaders.
- Coordinate with engineering machine repairs from Wrong First Time Management and Preventive Maintenance.
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when requested.
- Manage and support the process flow of all activities through the dye house.
- Controlling, scheduling resources &staff follow up on the implementation of all technical in the dye house.
- Problem solving.
- Follow up on the urgent order to ensure that it will be delivered on time to customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Color Physics certification at Level 4, as defined in the LRM Task Analysis Sheet.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end DTM process, with a proven ability to drive a high Atlas strike rate.
- In-depth knowledge of Coats thread portfolios, dyeing machine capacities, and Coats global dyeing programs.
- Hands-on experience with dyehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including quality, process, and operational controls.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dyehouse Health & Safety SOPs, PPE requirements for handling chemicals, and laboratory equipment safety.
- Practical application of 5S housekeeping principles to ensure safe, efficient, and well-organised dyehouse operations.
- College-level education, with a minimum of 12 months experience in a Coats dyehouse environment preferred.
- Proficient in CF2000E Feedback, CF2000E WRT software, and CF2000E Dyesect systems.
- Demonstrated team management and coordination experience, supporting operational efficiency and performance excellence.
