Job Description

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE

The objective of the E-Commerce lead is to assist the marketing and sales team with e-commerce standards, technologies and practices and lead the electronic transformation of the Logistics / postal services. The position holder will be responsible for the creation, deployment and expansion of company's products and services through trusted e-commerce solutions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop and deliver various business e-commerce initiatives and solutions and support the online transformation and deployment of company's products and services.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing & Sales to develop and finalize the e-Commerce strategy, implementation plan and related targets and budgets.
  • Conceptualize framework for modern electronic postal services and analyze the existing digital programs and plans to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing the current products and services.
  • Lead the implementation of approved digital plans and initiatives for various mail projects that drive efficiency, enhance customer experience etc.
  • Lead the development and management of eCRM program and contribute to newsletter, blog content, program analyses and optimization.
  • Lead the development of transactional web and mobile applications related to Logistics services; create digital communication solutions for customers.
  • Work closely with the IT developers / system implementers to conceptualize, develop and improve the information systems for online transactions, mail tracking and delivery. Coordinate with other Logistic services for online integration.
  • Contribute to company's website build and maintenance, website content to maximize website exposure, improve search engine optimization, and examine web analytics. Take measures to increase website traffic and sales through e-solutions
  • Take measures to create awareness and strive to increase the number of internet transactions and sales for philatelic and other products, enhance the functionality of online operations, streamline the ordering and fulfillment process
  • Work with the other members within the department and manage the digital identity of the organization, ensure the correct identity and branding standards are followed across all electronic platforms and promote digital marketing using the identity.
  • Work closely with other departments in the operations team to support their initiatives with e-commerce solutions
  • Network with professionals and companies in the field of marketing, sales and advertising to promote the brand of the organization. Build effective relationships with electronic service providers and external information system companies
  • Keep abreast of latest e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices worldwide to ensure implementation of best tools and systems for company.
  • Provide content and updates related to e-commerce activities and projects to the marketing department for internal communication and awareness.
  • Monitor and evaluate e-projects effectiveness, success and ROI periodically. Provide periodic feedback to the Head of Marketing & Communications.

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in IT or Marketing field
  • Master's degree or a professional certification in Information Systems, Marketing or Digital Media is highly desirable

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce role
  • At least 3 years experience in a postal services or similar services profile
  • Previous Middle East / GCC experience is preferable
