We are currently seeking highly motivated, dynamic and experienced Economic Consultant to join our Economics Department based in Cairo. At Dar Economics, we provide strategic, economic and financial advisory services at every stage of the project development process to help deliver on Clients visions. This includes identifying development opportunities and strategies, formulating and testing the viability of plans and creating a sound evidence base to inform Clients decision-making.

We work across all sectors including, but not limited to: Real Estate and Strategic Planning (city planning, regional planning, tourism development and industrial zones), Environment (including utilities and renewable energies), Social Infrastructure (Education and Health), Transport etc. Projects span a number of geographies - notably the Middle East, Gulf region and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Job Description Responsibilities :

Leading in the development of economic strategies for regional/urban/ industrial plans - using a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.

Conducting business cases, feasibility studies and economic impact assessments.

Coordinating and liaising with other disciplines in project delivery.

Ensuring compliance with all quality assurance/ control requirements in line with internal processes.

Contributing to project proposals and other business development activities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong first degree in relevant discipline (Economics, Urban and Regional Planning, Real Estate Development or similar). Post graduate qualification (MSc. or MBA) an advantage.

Team player, strong communication skills, self-motivated, problem-solving skills, able to manage time and resources and work under tight timeframes.

1+ Years of relevant consulting or project development experience Core Competencies:

Communication: Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Analytical Skills: Demonstrable qualitative and quantitative abilities to inform strongly evidenced recommendations and advice

Technical Skills: Good technical capabilities and experience in providing professional economic advice across a range of projects

Resource Management: Experience in managing time and resources to meet project deadlines within budget

Management / Leadership: Demonstrable experience in leading teams in the delivery of
