Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a Senior Editing Specialist to join a high-profile, government-aligned organization.
This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of written content across all communication channels, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and alignment with the organization's tone of voice and strategic messaging. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and refining content that supports the organization's reputation and public positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, edit, and refine a wide range of content, including press releases, speeches, reports, and digital materials
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, grammar, and messaging across all content
- Collaborate closely with content creators, communications teams, and leadership to enhance quality and clarity
- Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and communication objectives
- Ensure alignment with editorial guidelines, branding, and organizational standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior editors and content contributors
- Maintain quality control processes and continuously improve editorial standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in editing, content development, or editorial roles
- Exceptional command of English (native-level preferred); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high editorial standards
- Experience working within government, media, or large organizations is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
