EHS Manager
At JTI we create, test and introduce new and innovative products aimed at reducing potential risks (heated tobacco products, e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches). They are essential to our business sustainability. Join us in making a significant impact on our safety and sustainability efforts!
This role is based in Cairo, Egypt.
Position
- As the EHS Manager, you will
- Lead the EHS agenda by ensuring full regulatory and corporate compliance across all Egypt Market operations
- Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership engagement, awareness initiatives, and continuous improvement actions
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans across offices, warehouses, fleet, contractors, and projects
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and implement environmental management practices, including waste management, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction
- Design and deliver EHS training programs, ensuring employees and contractors are fully competent and compliant with safety standards
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, preparing dashboards and insights for leadership
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional EHS teams to ensure alignment with global standards and sustainability targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a National EHS management certificate
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Health & Safety role
- Strong knowledge of health & safety management systems, local legislation, and ISO standards
- Experience in risk assessment, audits, incident management, and compliance processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and influence stakeholders
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
