Commissioning Lead (Electrical)
Role Overview
You will lead and manage all electrical commissioning activities during preparation and execution phases, ensuring safe delivery in line with approved scope, schedule, and quality standards. The role involves close coordination with multiple EPC contractors, construction teams, and internal stakeholders across onshore and offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical commissioning activities to meet project milestones, with strong focus on HSE and SIMOPS
- Oversee onshore and offshore electrical commissioning execution
- Supervise EPC and contractor commissioning teams and ensure adherence to approved methodologies
- Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
- Support development of commissioning procedures, method statements, and check sheets
- Ensure readiness of spare parts, special tools, and commissioning resources
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, PTW, JSA, cybersecurity, and first energization requirements
- Maintain lessons learned and support smooth handover to Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
- Minimum 8 years experience in large oil & gas or LNG projects
- Strong background in electrical commissioning (LV/HV, power distribution, UPS, transformers, subsea cables)
- Experience working with EPC contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC / ATEX)
- Experience in offshore projects is an advantage
