Job Objective
Responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving new or existing products and components within the assigned engineering area. This includes vehicle design and related components to enhance overall performance for customers and the environment.

Reports to: Engineering Manager
Responsible for: Mechanical/Electrical CAD Design
Functional Responsibilities
- Follow all OHSE legislation, standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Support concept and design development across all vehicle and system design phases, including new products, sustaining designs, and modifications.
- Generate accurate conceptual designs within agreed timelines and technical/commercial requirements.
- Support creation of presentations and innovative design proposals; collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Assist in managing the release of technical documentation, including validation and reporting.
- Create 2D and 3D models relating to electrical systems for review and approval.
- Ensure document release aligns with internal standards.
- Maintain records for updates, reviews, feedback, and delivery schedules.
- Work within the authority limits defined by the line manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering.
- Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).
- Preferred Experience 35 years of automotive design experience across all phases from concept to production.
- Knowledge of design processes, production processes, and materials.
- CREO harnessing or equivalent electrical routing software.
- Familiarity with product release processes, fabrication, manufacturing, and basic performance requirements (strength, stiffness, crash).
- Skilled in mechanical assembly drawings.
