Position: Electrical Design Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 3-7 years total experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role within a related industry.

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Electrical Engineering.
2. Availability: Immediate Joiner preferred.
3. Industry: Building & Infrastructure Projects.
4. Type: Consultancy Experience Required.
5. Joining: Immediate joiner preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical design concepts, calculations, and detailed engineering drawings for building and infrastructure projects
• Design low-voltage and medium-voltage systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection
• Develop designs for systems such as fire alarm, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, data/telecom, and BMS (as applicable)
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and equipment sizing
• Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, national electrical codes, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.)
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
• Review and respond to technical queries, shop drawings, and material submittals
• Assist in preparation of tender documents, technical specifications, and BOQs
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning stages
• Conduct site inspections and resolve design-related issues
• Participate in value engineering and sustainability initiatives where required

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, or similar)
• Familiarity with building services and infrastructure project workflows
• Experience with authority approvals and client coordination is an advantage
• Professional Engineer (PE) / Chartered Engineer status is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
