We are seeking a UPDA Grade A Electrical Design Engineer with strong QCD Fire & Life Safety and Kahramaa approvals experience to deliver compliant electrical designs within a consulting environment. The role involves leading electrical design delivery, securing authority approvals, and supporting the Engineer's duties on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design from concept to IFC for building projects.
- Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Ensure compliance with QCS, QCD Fire Code, Kahramaa, and IEC / BS / NFPA standards.
- Act as primary consultant liaison with QCD, Kahramaa, and statutory authorities.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and ELV disciplines.
- Support tendering, technical evaluations, and value engineering.
- Review contractor shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and site queries.
- Support testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- UPDA Grade A Electrical Engineer (Mandatory)
- Proven QCD Fire & Life Safety approvals experience
Experience
- 12+ years of experience preferable Consultant-side on commercial, high-rise, hospitality, healthcare, or mixed-use projects
- Strong track record of QCD and Kahramaa approvals
Technical Skills
- Power distribution, lighting, earthing, and life safety systems
- Fire Alarm & Emergency Systems (QCD / NFPA compliant)
- AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit/BIM (preferred)
