Position Objectives
- Provide technical support and assurance for electrical systems on data centre projects
- Ensure compliance with design standards, safety requirements, and redundancy objectives
- Support smooth execution, commissioning, and handover of electrical infrastructure
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Review electrical design documents (Concept to IFC) for compliance with project standards and redundancy philosophy
- Support validation of SLDs, protection basics, grounding/earthing, lightning protection, and surge protection
- Review integration of MV/LV systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS, batteries, PDUs/RPPs, and critical load distribution
- Assist in resolving RFIs, NCRs, and site coordination issues with CSA, MEP, and controls teams
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and installation methods for electrical works
- Support installation quality checks, including cabling, terminations, labelling, segregation, and firestopping
- Participate in FAT, SAT, energisation, and commissioning readiness activities
- Support preparation and verification of as-built documentation, test reports, O&M manuals, and handover deliverables
Qualification and Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 58 years of relevant electrical experience; data centre or mission-critical exposure preferred
- Experience with MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, batteries, grounding, and lightning protection
- Working knowledge of applicable standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and TIA-942
- Exposure to testing, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and energisation processes
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and construction documentation
- Ability to coordinate with designers, contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams
- Relevant certifications or specialised training are an advantage
