Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the electrical design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality electrical designs.
  • Oversee the development of electrical design concepts in accordance with project technical standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Review, approve, and validate electrical drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Plan, allocate, and manage team workloads across multiple projects to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate electrical design activities with clients, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Support integrated and efficient multidisciplinary design solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to electrical design team members.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments as required to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Support projects from concept design through detailed design, construction, and commissioning stages.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in electrical design, with proven experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, and grounding.
  • Thorough understanding of local and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines within budget.
  • Experience in reviewing, approving, and coordinating electrical design drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in site supervision, inspections, and resolving technical issues during construction.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical design software).
  • Ability to contribute to proposals, technical reports, and project presentations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
