Job Summary:
Oversee the execution and quality of electrical works on-site, ensuring alignment with approved designs, safety standards, and project specifications. This role requires a technically strong professional with hands-on site experience in supervising and coordinating electrical installations, particularly in medium-to-large scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site electrical work, including power, lighting, low current systems, and MV/LV installations.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, architectural) to resolve design and execution conflicts.
- Review contractors shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
- Monitor installation progress and perform inspections to verify adherence to project quality standards.
- Identify site issues, propose technical solutions, and escalate critical problems when necessary.
- Maintain documentation, site logs, and daily/weekly reports on progress and quality inspections.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of all electrical systems before handover.
- Participate in technical and progress meetings with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
- Review and validate as-built drawings and close-out documentation submitted by contractors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical site supervision, preferably in large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems (MV/LV), fire alarm, data & telecom, lighting control, and BMS.
- Familiar with national and international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, etc.).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, site safety, and testing/commissioning protocols.
- Excellent site coordination, communication, and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under site conditions.
