Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Technical Documentation
- Prepare and update ELV shop drawings, as-built drawings, schematics, and layouts.
- Use Edwards fire alarm software for device programming, system configuration, and panel setup.
- Assist in ELV design calculations, device placement, cable routing, and compliance checks.
- Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and tender documents for ELV systems including:
- Fire Alarm (Edwards)
- CCTV & Security
- Access Control
- Structured Cabling/Data System
- Public Address
- IPTV/SMATV
- BMS/Automation
2. Material & Procurement Support
- Prepare material submittals, datasheets, BOQs, and compliance statements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical offers.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs (QTO) and assist in procurement tracking.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support design and coordination meetings related to ELV systems.
4. Standards & Compliance
- Ensure ELV system designs comply with international standards (NFPA, BICSI, BS, IEC, etc.).
- Support the preparation of testing & commissioning documents and handover files.
- Perform technical reviews of vendor submissions for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 13 years of experience in ELV systems within construction/MEP projects.
- Practical experience using Edwards Fire Alarm Software.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, data cabling, and other ELV systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office and basic project documentation tools.
