Position Overview
The Electrical Technician will supervise and carry out installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across residential and commercial properties. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and strict adherence to UAE electrical safety standards.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in DB boards, MCBs, RCDs, and wiring systems.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, switches, sockets, and conduits.
- Perform load balancing, cable pulling, and rewiring work.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ensure work meets DEWA regulations and UAE electrical codes.
Leadership & Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and guide junior electricians.
- Distribute work assignments and supervise daily field activities.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety measures.
- Provide technical coaching to technicians.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Prepare service reports, checklists, and maintenance documentation.
- Maintain tools, test instruments, and electrical material inventory.
- Coordinate with AC, plumbing, and handyman teams as required.
- Respond to emergency electrical faults and outages.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all HSE guidelines and electrical isolation procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA and UAE safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of UAE electrical safety codes.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Time management and task prioritization.
- Leadership and teamwork.
Additional Advantages:
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Experience with ELV or smart home systems.
