Job Purpose
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems within Salayel Hospitality properties, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and uninterrupted operations in line with hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, sockets, switches, panels, and control systems
- Maintain LV systems, DBs, MCCs, emergency lighting, and UPS where applicable
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and respond promptly to breakdowns and guest requests
- Conduct routine inspections in guest rooms, public areas, BOH, and plant rooms
- Ensure all electrical works comply with UAE electrical codes and safety regulations
- Support testing and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems (as required)
- Coordinate with supervisors and external contractors when necessary
- Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and work orders
- Follow hotel SOPs, safety procedures, and brand standards at all times
- Respond to emergency call-outs and shift duties as required
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 25 years experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in hotels or serviced apartments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of LV electrical systems
- Basic understanding of fire alarm systems and emergency power systems
- Familiar with UAE safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duty
- Basic communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
