Electrical Tender head & Technical office Engineer @ Alexandria Job Description
  • Prepare, review, and analyze electrical tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and procurement to ensure accurate and competitive tender submissions.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and technical proposals for electrical systems in line with project requirements.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize design and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to clarify technical queries and resolve discrepancies in tender documents.
  • Prepare and submit technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals for ongoing projects.
  • Support the project execution team with technical documentation, revisions, and as-built drawings.
  • Monitor and track tender progress, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely submission.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices relevant to electrical and electromechanical systems.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical tendering and technical office roles within the MEP industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards applicable to construction projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing technical submittals, shop drawings, and material take-offs.
  • Familiarity with green building practices and sustainable engineering solutions is an advantage.
