Summary
The EMEA Proxmox Sales Specialist Test is a specialized assessment role designed to evaluate the technical proficiency, sales acumen, and customer engagement capabilities of candidates seeking to represent Proxmox VE within the EMEA region. This role is critical in ensuring that sales professionals possess the in-depth knowledge of Proxmox's virtualization and container platform, along with the ability to articulate its value proposition to enterprise clients across diverse industries. The specialist will be responsible for demonstrating product expertise, navigating complex technical discussions, and aligning Proxmox solutions with customer infrastructure needs. Success in this test role directly contributes to building a high-performing sales team capable of driving adoption, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes across the EMEA market.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive product demonstrations of Proxmox VE, highlighting virtualization, containerization, and high-availability features.
  • Engage with potential enterprise clients to identify infrastructure challenges and propose tailored Proxmox-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and sales teams to prepare and deliver customized presentations, proposals, and proof-of-concept scenarios.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Proxmox installation, configuration, backup strategies, and integration with existing IT environments.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and objections with accuracy, clarity, and confidence during live or simulated sales engagements.
  • Document feedback and performance metrics from test scenarios to support continuous improvement of the sales enablement program.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proxmox product updates, competitive landscape, and EMEA market trends.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture within the virtualization, cloud, or data center infrastructure space.
  • In-depth hands-on experience with Proxmox VE, including cluster management, storage configuration, networking, and backup solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration, virtualization technologies (KVM, LXC), and modern data center architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical features into business value for enterprise clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting sales demos, handling objections, and closing technical deals in a B2B environment.
  • Familiarity with EMEA market dynamics, including regulatory considerations and regional IT infrastructure trends.
  • Willingness to participate in a structured assessment process, including live scenario-based evaluations and technical testing.
