We are urgently seeking a
Senior QC Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 810 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical quality assurance/control activities at site, ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and client requirementsspecifically on the prestigious
Diriyah project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all mechanical QC activities (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, utilities) in accordance with approved project specifications and international standards.
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Conduct and witness inspections and testing of mechanical systems, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, etc.
- Coordinate with the client's QA/QC representatives and consultants for all inspection activities.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and closure of quality issues.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality compliance.
- Ensure documentation is complete and in accordance with the project's QA/QC requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QC engineers and inspectors on-site.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in QA/QC roles within infrastructure or mega construction projects.
- Strong background in mechanical systems for infrastructure (pumping stations, water networks, district cooling, firefighting, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME, ISO).
