Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the technical coordination of electrical systems (MV/LV and low current), including reviewing designs, submittals, and shop drawings. The role provides support to both engineering and site teams to ensure proper implementation and actively contributes to resolving design-related issues across all project phases.
Principal Accountabilities
Policies, Processes & Procedures

Projects Technicality Operation
- Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, calculations, and engineering documents for electrical systems, including power distribution (MV/LV), lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and low current systems.
- Review and approve subcontractor submissions, single-line diagrams, technical data sheets, and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, SEC, SBC).
- Lead the preparation and clarification of RFIs related to design issues, missing details, and site coordination conflicts.
- Oversee the preparation of electrical material submittals (e.g., panels, cables, fixtures, transformers), and follow up on technical approvals and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with MEP, structural, architectural, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical works and resolve site issues.
- Participate in evaluating technical offers from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compatibility with project requirements and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical direction and support to junior engineers in drawing development, submittal management, site issue resolution, and report on the progress of electrical deliverables, highlighting risks or delays.
- Review and coordinate electrical shop drawings and ensure accuracy in as-built documentation.
- Conduct technical reviews of material submittals, single-line diagrams, and load calculations.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Manage RFIs, design clarifications, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide site support and resolve execution challenges related to electrical systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Electrical CAD tools for drawing development and review.
- Review and coordinate BIM/Revit MEP models to ensure clash-free integration.
- Perform quantity surveying and validate BOQs for electrical scope.
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and tracking logs for technical deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate effectively with draftsmen.
- Manage electrical scope planning, progress tracking, and technical alignment.
- Ensure consistent follow-up and coordination across design, procurement, and construction phases.
Self-Management
- Work in line with engineering management's objectives by providing regular updates on design progress, technical issues, and coordination efforts.
- Expand knowledge in electrical systems design, site execution requirements, and code updates, while staying informed on industry developments and technological advancements in power and low-current systems.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering
- 5-8 Years of relevant experience in construction technicality
