Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Mechanical)

As part of the Mechanical Maintenance team, you will contribute to the effective maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring high reliability and availability while meeting statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, review, and execute preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance for major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) equipment, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and plant auxiliaries.
• Support troubleshooting activities such as vibration analysis, borescope inspections, and root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for mechanical failures.
• Plan, manage, and optimise minor and major overhauls, including scope development, contractor supervision, QA/QC, and safety compliance.
• Conduct functional tests on mechanical systems, analyse failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate and implement plant improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, availability, and overall plant performance.
• Supervise maintenance contract works and develop work procedures for maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment, spare parts, and services, and support procurement activities to meet maintenance requirements.
• Work closely with technical officers and technicians to ensure high standards of workmanship and safety during daily operations and shutdown maintenance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board.
• Experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant or Oil & Gas environment, with hands-on exposure to Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, HRSG, and mechanical auxiliary systems, including contractor management, outage planning, and preparation of technical reports, will be an advantage. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Sound technical knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance strategies, outage practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Self-motivated team player with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong safety mindset with good understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW), risk assessments, and statutory safety requirements.
