Role Description
The English Placement Tester Specialist will be responsible for assessing candidates English language proficiency using structured tests and other evaluation methods. Key tasks include designing and administering placement tests, analyzing results, and providing detailed feedback to candidates. The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to ensure testing methods align with institutional standards and continuous improvements. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in English language testing methodologies, assessment design, and evaluation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback and interact with candidates
- Organizational and time-management skills to uphold testing schedules and maintain detailed records
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills for accurate result interpretation
- Experience in the education or training sector is a plus
- Proficiency in using testing software or digital tools related to assessments
- University degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
- Teaching English as a Foreign or Second Language certification (such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA) is an advantage
