For a very well-known multinational company located in Cairo,Egypt, an HSE Manager is urgently needed.
We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead and drive Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives within our plant. The role will be responsible for strengthening the HSE culture, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and supporting the organization in achieving its goal of Zero Accidents and Incidents.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HSE within a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the HSE cultural transformation across the plant to promote a strong safety culture and achieve Zero Accidents and Incidents.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental programs, policies, and processes.
- Provide HSE expertise and guidance for new projects, plant modifications, and change management activities.
- Participate in investigations of incidents and non-conformances and support the development and implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Monitor and follow up on identified HSE non-conformances, ensuring timely closure through root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date incident reporting and tracking system.
- Lead or support incident investigations in collaboration with the HSE Pillar Team and Safety Committee.
- Drive the completion of corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement technical guidance and programs to identify, assess, and eliminate physical and workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE legislation, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
- Support internal and external HSE audits and ensure identified gaps are effectively addressed.
- Promote continuous improvement of HSE performance through risk assessments, inspections, audits, training, and awareness programs.
- Work closely with plant leadership, employees, and cross-functional teams to embed HSE into daily operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices, environmental requirements, and technical HSE standards.
- Relevant HSE certifications/training such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent qualifications.
- Good understanding of ISO management systems, particularly ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and corrective action management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
