Estimation Manager leads the tendering lifecycle, conducting detailed cost analysis, BOQ reviews, and risk assessments to ensure competitive bids.
Responsibilities
- Tender Management: Studying tender documents, blueprints, and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates and proposals.
- Cost Analysis & Strategy: Developing pricing strategies, conducting value engineering, and analyzing material, labor, and time requirements.
- Coordination & Negotiation: Liaising with construction teams, consultants, and subcontractors for technical clarifications and price negotiations.
- Risk & Compliance: Identifying project risks and ensuring tenders comply with local Qatari regulations and company standards.
- Leadership: Mentoring junior estimation engineers and quantity surveyors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience: 10-15+ years in estimation and tendering, specifically within Qatar or the GCC construction market.
Required Skills
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimating software (e.g., Candy/CCS, Primavera).
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: MMUP/UPDA certification (Grade A) is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
