Opportunity Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Estimation Engineer (Piping & Mechanical) to join a multidisciplinary engineering company based in Abu Dhabi delivering high‑quality solutions across complex oil & gas and construction projects. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and offers exposure to technically challenging projects from bid stage through to execution.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing technical and commercial bids, working closely with engineering, procurement, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E Mechanical Engineering)

Experience

• 12–15 years of total experience in estimation within the oil & gas / construction sector
• 6–8 years experience in the UAE, specifically within oil & gas projects
• Strong background in piping and mechanical systems for EPC / consultancy projects

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of technical and commercial bids for oil & gas and construction projects
• Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing models for piping and mechanical scope
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to define scope accurately
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to validate assumptions and costs
• Prepare bid clarifications, deviations, and risk assessments
• Support management with value engineering and cost optimisation strategies
• Ensure all estimates align with project requirements, client standards, and local regulations
