Job Description & Summary
Lead React Native squads delivering high-quality cross-platform apps for iOS and Android. Own architecture and performance, align delivery with client outcomes, and build a high-performing engineering culture.
Responsibilities:
- Define RN architecture (TypeScript, React Navigation, state managementRedux/Zustand/Recoil, module boundaries).
- Establish native bridges and lead integrations with platform-specific modules (Swift/Kotlin) when required.
- Drive app performance (startup, TTI, memory, JS/bridge profiling, Hermes), reliability, and accessibility.
- Set security baselines (secure storage, cert pinning, anti-tamper, secrets management) with platform leads.
- Build CI/CD (Metro/Gradle/Xcode, Fastlane, Azure DevOps/Jenkins), code-push/OTA strategies, and release governance.
- Lead people & delivery managementcapacity, hiring, coaching, recognition, and performance management.
- Partner with design, product, QA, and cloud teams to land features with measurable impact.
- Govern third-party libraries and SDKs; enforce licensing and update policies.
- Engage with clients through workshops, demos, and architecture reviews; convert business goals into engineering roadmaps.
Required qualifications:
- 812+ years total, 4+ years leading React Native teams; prior hands-on RN delivery at scale.
- Strong TypeScript, modern React patterns, native module development (Swift/Kotlin), and mobile UX.
- Deep knowledge of Metro bundler, Gradle/Xcode projects, multi-env configurations, and OTA strategies.
- Testing (Jest/RTL, Detox/E2E), release engineering, telemetry/observability (crash, log, analytics).
- Experience with MDM distribution and enterprise compliance in large organizations.
- Excellent client communication and consulting skills.
