Role Overview
Blacktape is seeking an experiencedEvents Business Developerwith an established network of corporate clients in Egypt's marketing, events, and brand activation ecosystem. The role focuses onbringing immediate business opportunities into Blacktape, leveraging existing relationships with brands, agencies, and decision-makers to generate projects and long-term partnerships.
This role is designed for professionals who already maintainactive client relationshipscapable of converting into projects for Blacktape.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage an existing network ofcorporate clients, brands, and marketing decision-makersto generate event and experiential marketing opportunities.
- Introduce and positionBlacktape as the preferred events and experiential partnerfor new and existing clients.
- Identify and convert opportunities in sectors such asFMCG, telecom, banking, real estate, entertainment, and corporate events.
- Manage the full business development pipeline:lead sourcing, meetings, pitching, and deal closing.
- Collaborate with Blacktape's internal teams (production, creative, logistics) to convert opportunities into executed projects.
- Maintain relationships withmarketing directors, brand managers, and procurement teams.
- Deliver measurable revenue growth through projects and retainer agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience inevents, experiential marketing, or brand activations.
- Existing network ofcorporate clients capable of commissioning event or experiential projects.
- Demonstrated ability toclose deals and bring projects into an agency or production house.
- Strong understanding ofevent production, brand activations, and experiential campaigns.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Based inCairo or able to operate within the Egyptian market.
Preferred Background
- Previous experience working inevent agencies, production houses, or experiential marketing companies.
- Strong connections withmarketing departments or brand decision-makers.
- Track record ofbringing projects worth significant budgets into previous organizations.
