About the business area
Private Banking provides high-net-worth clients with an end-to-end banking service to help manage their full banking and investment needs effectively. Our dedicated bankers provide a wide variety of solutions to meet clients investment and borrowing requirements, including complex and bespoke loan structuring. Wealth preservation requirements are addressed through a comprehensive wealth planning solution, tailored to individual needs
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Investment Ideas and Advice - Review financial statements from investment firms to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Manage the development of new investment ideas, providing advice and guidance to Private Banking Clients, colleagues and external clients in order to generate wealth/investment returns for client positions
- Market Research and Analysis - Review financial statements from investment firms to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Oversee financial market research completed, analysing the market data produced, reporting on business, economic cycles and forecasts of asset classes in order advise on trends and potential investment areas
- Sourcing and Structuring Investment Solutions - Liaise with external parties to source and structure investment products in order to offer tailored investment products to private clients
- Portfolio Management - Estimate how much income a client will receive from an investment over time, based on interest rates, dividends, and other factors in order to provide advice and financial solutions to Private Banking Clients that meet clients needs
- Make buy/sell decisions on investment portfolios to ensure provide Private Banking Clients with financial planning services and continuity of portfolio management
- People Management - Manage self and team in line with ADCB's people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
- Manage the effective achievement of the team's objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation
- Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment
- Customer Service - Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank's required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 8 years of experience in private Banking or asset management in an investment advisor or portfolio management
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent desirable
- Understanding of financial markets, drivers and instruments, economics and forecasting
- Relationship management skills
- Customer focused
- Ability to articulate technical information in a simple and understandable way for clients
- Proficient in using Bloomberg, Portfolio construction Advanced knowledge in Bloomberg PORT, bespoke portfolio reporting on spreadsheets using Bloomberg Data Point (BDP), structured products pricing using a structured product pricing tool and/or Bloomberg Derivative Library (DLIB)
- Written and spoken English
