This role represents a fantastic opportunity to join a new high calibre team with a view to being a flexible Head, gaining exposure to a wide range of businesses cross multiple industries. This variety will ensure that the individual will experience different challenges on a continuous basis across a large corporate environment, which is a rare opportunity for extensive personal growth. ERM will be a highly commercial and dynamic function. This is not a tick box function. The candidate will be a thinker and able to connect business concepts and objectives with commercial risk. HOERM will undertake a variety of risk management activities and liaise with IA on reviews which include commercial, strategy, projects and programmes, finance, accounting, compliance, IT and operations. GIA, R & C has a high organisational profile and the candidate will be expected to develop relationships at the Senior Executive level in addition to being able to develop and quality assure the work completed by the risk managers and professionals. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a proven record for owning and delivering high quality active ERM framework, a sense of initiative, problem solving and thought leadership who can support the Leadership to deliver the mission, vision and strategic plan for the group of businesses.

Strategic

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of the ERM strategy.
  • Build and deliver the ERM strategy and related framework to ISO 31000 standard and IRM standards.
  • Stakeholder relationship.
  • Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with our internal customers in the business, including key senior stakeholders to understand their requirements, partner with them and add value.
  • Talent Management.
  • Develop the talent in the team inspire and motivate the team to optimise performance and deliver their best.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members to become future business leaders.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork.
  • Audit & Risk Committee Reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly papers for the Audit Committee / Board, and manage preparation of reporting statistics and trends and Advisory.
  • Provide input to senior management on matters including risk, control, process and change.

Operational

  • Project Management and delivery of the ERM Plan and actively manage the RM functions across the BU's Customer Relationship: Specifically:.
  • Take steps to understand the business, key drivers and risk context.
  • Regularly engage with senior leaders in the business to understand their needs and gain their perspective.
  • Influence and communicate effectively, demonstrating strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Develop a partnership and trust relationship with senior leaders in the business.
  • Ensure that we work with the business as one team, in cooperation and in consultation with businesses.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric service attitude and mindset.
  • Articulate the relevance of the risk work to the business and how it fits in with AGI's priorities and what benefits or leverage it adds and.
  • Be an ambassador for AGI and the ERM function.
  • ERM Process: The end-to-end ERM process.

  • Planning.
  • Risk Work Shops Fieldwork, data analysis and audit work papers and.
  • Reporting.
  • Conducting full performance appraisals after each business assignment.

Education & Certifications:

  • MINIMUM : Degree and IRM qualifications, (all independently confirmed by Group VP IA & R prior to offer letter).

  • Proven track record of ownership and delivery of large and complex ERM.

  • MINIMUM :12 Years + experience, Big 4 trained & qualified Blue Chip employer/clients International Experience in a mature CG environment i.e Europe, UK, US, SA, Australasia and including Middle East, (GCC desirable) Mature o.
