The role aligns payroll processes with system capabilities, drives automation, and collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to enhance user experience and adherence to legal, tax, and data security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and support Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, Absences and OTL including earnings, deductions, elements, balances, costing, retro pay, and reconciliation processes.
  • Design payroll calculation rules, fast formulas, and validation rules to meet statutory, company, and union requirements across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions as applicable.
  • Define and maintain payroll calendars, payment methods, costing rules, and integration points with Core HR, Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Financials.
  • Manage end to end payroll processing cycles (pre payroll checks, calculation, validation, post processing, posting to GL) and resolve errors and exceptions in a timely manner.
  • configure and maintain approval workflows, security roles, and user access for payroll related functions, ensuring segregation of duties and compliance with internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain payroll reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts for statutory reporting, audits, and management information.
  • Lead or support data migration for payroll (historical data, balances, elements, costing) using HCM Data Loader and other tools, including validation and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map current and future payroll processes, and translate them into system configurations and functional designs.
  • Conduct system testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), payroll parallel runs, and cut over activities; document test cases and results.
  • Provide post go live support, troubleshoot payroll issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare functional documentation including BRDs, configuration workbooks, solution design documents, and user guides for payroll processes.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions for HR and Payroll users, promoting best practices and system adoption.
  • Support change requests and enhancements, ensuring proper impact analysis, estimation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field.
  • Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience in the following;
  • Hands-on expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Absences and OTL (Including other HCM Modules):
  • Proven handson configuration of Oracle Fusion Payroll
  • Experience designing and maintaining payroll definitions, payroll calendars, payment methods, costing rules, and reconciliation processes from payroll to General Ledger.
  • Strong background configuring and troubleshooting endtoend payroll flow (prepayroll validations, calculation, validation, prepayments, costing, and postprocessing activities)
