Job Description
The Expert Solution Architect Billing & Interconnect Development is responsible for leading a team of Billing Analysts to develop, maintain, and enhance existing billing systems. The role manages the product life cycle from assessment, design, and development of new business projects and requirements, through to testing and deployment support. The architect leads billing transformations across all planned phases, including solution design, development, and testing, ensuring robust interfaces and solutions are implemented in alignment with department KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Billing development team, contributing to analysis, modeling, high and low-level solution design, documentation, implementation, deployment preparation, unit testing, and issue investigation.
- Design and build new flows and generic web services to facilitate BSCS integration and support business needs.
- Manage the product life cycle for billing systems, including assessment, design, development, testing, and deployment support.
- Ensure full alignment with IT domain SPOCs and technical architecture plans for end-to-end solution delivery.
- Document technical solution designs, including requirements feasibility, high-level solution descriptions, impacted systems, integration points, and solution limitations.
- Act as a focal point for end-to-end solution activities throughout the product life cycle.
- Propose and design frameworks to cover repetitive business requirements.
- Review integration details with system owners and assist in finalizing SIT and testing phases.
- Analyze business requirements and determine technical feasibility, interacting with commercial teams for requirements gathering and concept tuning.
- Oversee billing production environment as Level 3 support, ensuring problems and incidents are resolved within OLA.
- Lead performance tuning and enhancements, introducing changes and escalating issues as needed to meet KPIs.
- Plan and report project/task statuses for the team, reviewing team deliveries to ensure quality standards are met.
- Handle internal and external communication with teams such as Business, Consumers, Revenue Assurance, Project Management, Testing, Operations, and Solutions.
- Resolve issues and conflicts within the team or with other teams as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Ericsson Billing development and management.
- Strong programming background in Java (v8+), PL/SQL.
- Deep understanding of Core Java and OOP concepts, including Collections Framework, Garbage Collection, Exception Handling, Multi-Threading, and I/O.
- Experience with database access technologies including JDBC, ORM frameworks (Hibernate, Spring JPA).
- Microservices architecture experience.
- Database experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Constraints, and Views.
- Systems integration and software troubleshooting expertise.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and oral communication).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
